Our Mission

She Has A Name is a strong community of abolitionists that exists to fight human trafficking through education, advocacy, and care for those impacted.

More about our Organization

She Has a Name is a nonprofit organization that fights against human trafficking through 3 main pillars:
Education: we train the public on trauma, trauma-informed care, and trauma responsive care. We train about human trafficking, and what trauma does to the brain. So, we inform people from professionals, to church members, to care-givers, and everything on the spectrum. And I think in 2018, we were able to train more, almost 1,000 people.
Collaboration: We collaborate with other organizations. We understand that we cannot fight against human trafficking by ourselves. We join efforts with other organizations.
Survivor care: we care for the ones impacted by human trafficking. And that means that we become more like a resource for survivors of human trafficking. We don’t run any programs ourselves, but the scholarship. We run a scholarship that is to provide financial aid to survivors of human trafficking, who are pursuing higher education. It can be cosmetology, or it can be a college or masters degree. We can cover tuition, and we try to do it holistically, so if they need parking, or if they need other things, if they need to fix their car, that’s something that we might consider. And also we care for the johns. We’re trying to work on demand reduction, the root of the human trafficking, and we try to work and collaborate in that way.
